Featuring an complete powerline communication solution on a chip, the CY8CPLC10 includes a powerline modem PHY and powerline network protocol stack using programmable system-on-a-chip architecture. The device offers industry-leading reliability with greater than 97% packet success rates without retries.

The IC integrates a frequency-shift key (FSK) modem with variable baud rates up to 2400 bits/s, programmable analog and digital blocks, and a full microcontroller. The chip derives power from the powerline bus and takes just 25 mw in sleep mode and 300 to 600 mw transmitting. It comes in a SSOP28 package and operates at -40° to 85°C.
